The Dingman-Nagy School of Ballet Arts is a Cecchetti dance studio in the Niagara region. The ballet school was founded by Lisan Dingman-Nagy in 1984, in Niagara Falls, Ontario. The studio is now located in St. Davids, Ontario. Lisan holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from the State University of New York at Purchase (SUNY Purchase). Lisan is accredited with the Imperial Society of Dance and holds her Licentiate Degree with the Cecchetti Society of Canada. The Dingman-Nagy School of Ballet Arts offers classical ballet training in the Cecchetti Method as well as modern dance classes for ages 3 to adult. All classes are taught by Lisan Dingman-Nagy.
Programs offered at the studio include Pre-ballet for children ages 3-5 years, Beginner ballet for 5-7 years, Cecchetti technique classes Grade 1-Advanced 2, Modern and Jazz classes, Adult ballet, Pointe classes, Choreography classes as well as Private classes. For those students interested in pursuing a career in ballet, a competitive intensive program is offered. Summer dance programs are also offered for both the recreational and intensive students in July.
Many of the students trained by Lisan Dingman-Nagy at her ballet school in Niagara, have been accepted to the National Ballet School of Canada, The Quinte Ballet School in Belleville, Ryerson and York University’s in Toronto, George Brown College, Toronto, Sheridan College and various summer schools across Canada and the USA. Lisan is also a member of the Adjudicators Alliance and is an active adjudicator for numerous dance competitions throughout Ontario.
